We have spent years studying the problem and working closely with civic leaders, which lead us to develop a novel approach to community discourse
Community serving organizations are at their best when they get public input on their decisions—but getting good input is harder than it seems.
Local leaders often spend hours and hours circulating one-off surveys to parents and students or hosting public meetings that attract low attendance.
So, they often end up with single snapshots of information that are unrepresentative of the families who need the most support.
