Meeting your stakeholders’ needs falls short too often because of a fundamental lack of information on them and the inability to consistently engage them. Our solution bridges the gap between activation and impact.

Receiving input from the public is a critical component to local leadership. In a 2018 national survey, School board members cite “community support” as the factor that has the biggest impact on improving student achievement.

Over 80% of board members listed “communication with the public” as a vital knowledge area for successful leadership – tied for the 5th most important.  Community engagement is not a luxury; it’s a prerequisite for success.

Despite the significance, most school boards lack the time and support needed to foster effective community engagement. About 95% of school boards meet no more than twice per month. About 60% of board members can spend no more than 24 hours per month on board service, as most are full-time employees elsewhere.

Less than half of school boards report receiving access to communications staff, despite over 90% reporting having access to administrative support. The degree of difficulty is much too high.
